Babushka or Matryoshka?

We keep bumping into these adorable traditional Russian nesting dolls.

First we got this great book from the library. It’s really cute, with great pictures. Naomi loves it.
Then I found this great pattern that I’m going to try this week–consider that a promise !-) or should I make these?
& there’s this beautiful fabric by Heather Ross.
A cute card-craft.
& there are more books that look great on this ‘subject’:

We love The Magic Nesting Doll and The Littlest Matryoshka. I *love* that felted nesting doll set. Amazing! The sewn set looks pretty cute too. I've seen the Heather Ross fabric and thought, how adorable, but I'm not sure what I'd do with it. Glad we're not the only ones who adore nesting dolls. (btw, Paul has a set of infamous dictators nesting dolls that are quite a hoot too 😉

Those are so cute. I have a set of the Russian nesting dolls that I got when I was in Russia. They are so adorable. Are these what you were posting for the Saturday Blog Shoppers? Thanks for the pics.

Well melissa–I just got this new material that I will most likely use 😉 & Joy, they seem like books your kids would enjoy (& you). I've seen several 'funny' sets online, I'm trying to pick 'the one' to add to my wishlist for down the road…
